A House of Light and Balance – Palm Jumeirah Showcase Residence
“Byat” means home in Arabic, a word that carries warmth, belonging, and identity.
This Byat, located on the third frond of Palm Jumeirah, reinterprets that idea within a contemporary language of light, balance, and precision. Conceived as a dialogue between technology, nature, and refined domestic living, the residence embodies the essence of modern comfort while embracing the poetic qualities of the Gulf’s architectural landscape.
Floors
The two-storey villa with a livable terrace embraces both innovation and serenity, offering a contemporary interpretation of waterfront life in Dubai.
The ground floor opens with a foyer leading into a fluid composition of office, living, and dining areas; spaces that coexist within a single open plan, divided by a system of fixed and mobile partitions that allow the atmosphere to shift from intimate to open.
A home cinema, guest bathroom, staff quarters, and a garage with smart glass complete the level. The garage’s glass turns opaque when the door opens, ensuring privacy, while remaining transparent when closed — transforming the vehicle into part of the interior aesthetic.
Outside, the patio and pool area extend the living experience to the beach, blending leisure and landscape through custom furniture and shaded decks.
The first floor develops around a central courtyard that hosts a sculptural olive bonsai, a living heart visible from every common area, alongside an upper living area and a private dining room. From here, the circulation continues upward to a multi-level rooftop terrace, conceived as an observatory of light, sea, and sky. The accommodations include four bedrooms, including a master suite, two junior suites, and a guest room.
